Jyoti ज्योति means divine light—that radiant, quiet energy that lives inside each of us. Just like a single diya (oil lamp) can light countless others without ever losing its own flame, this retreat is an invitation for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners to return to their source, refill their cup, and remember the light they carry.
As teachers, we give so much. We hold space, we listen, we guide. We pour love and attention into our students, our communities, and the sacred path of yoga. And as practitioners, we often dedicate ourselves so fully to the discipline of yoga that we forget to pause, to let ourselves be nourished by the practice itself.
This retreat was born from that knowing. It is a space to come home to yourself—whether you are a teacher seeking renewal or a seasoned practitioner longing for a more immersive journey into yoga’s depth.
As we step into a new year, we invite you to join us for ten days of soulful renewal in the heart of Rishikesh—the birthplace of yoga, where the Ganges flows, and where your own jyoti, your divine light, can be softly remembered.
We know that after the high of a teacher training—or after years of steady practice—the path ahead can sometimes feel unexpectedly lonely. The glow that once lit up your practice may begin to dim beneath the demands of daily life. At Jyoti, we understand that ache. That quiet longing for deeper connection and honest space.
This is why we’ve created a retreat that actually listens and invites you to simply be, as you are.
Through advanced practices and real, raw conversations, we’ll hold space for the full spectrum of your journey—the doubts, the dreams, and the in-between moments no one usually speaks of.
This isn’t about proving yourself or reaching the next milestone. It’s about remembering why you stepped onto the mat in the first place.
Retreat Organizer & Lead Facilitator
Like many, my yoga journey started as an on-and-off practice—until one day, it turned ON for good. I still remember my first class, sitting there thinking, “What is this?”
And now, six years into teaching, I still find myself asking the same question. Yoga is a continuous exploration, a path that keeps unfolding.
Through guiding teacher circles, I’ve come to understand the challenges of visibility and self-trust that many yoga teachers face. Hence, I decided to facilitate this retreat and give more room to what I believe is really needed: This space is more than just a place to refine your practice—it’s a community, a support system, and a space for growth. Together, we cultivate courage, share wisdom, and lift each other up, strengthening our voices as teachers in the world.
Retreat Co-Creator & Senior Teacher
I have spent many years guiding yoga teacher trainings and retreats, sharing my passion for philosophy, pranayama, and meditation. As the founder of Rishikesh Yog Nirvana, I have had the privilege of mentoring countless yoga teachers, helping them deepen their understanding and step into their roles with confidence while maintaining the essence of yoga. Storytelling is at the heart of my teaching, bringing ancient wisdom to modern life in a way that resonates beyond the classroom.
My hope is to inspire others to use their theoretical and experiential knowledge and voice with authenticity, both in their teaching and in everyday life. Through connection, self-inquiry, and dedication, we continue to grow—not just as teachers, but as lifelong students of yoga.
Master Teacher for Advanced Asana
I have been on the pah of yoga for more then ten years and now own my own studio, Neeraj Yoga Rishikesh.
Through dedicated self-practice, extensive studies at Jairam Ashram Rishikesh in cooperation with Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, and years of teaching in Rishikesh, Vietnam, and internationally, I have grown as both a practitioner and teacher.
I love guiding students of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, but I am especially known for my challenging body-opening classes that help students progress far beyond what they thought possible: both in their body and mind. My intention is always to create a space where each practitioner can grow, deepen awareness, and experience the transformative power of yoga.
There are many yoga retreats in the world—but so few are dedicated to those who already walk the path deeply. This is one of them.
On the mat, we’ll dive into practices that challenge and inspire. Off the mat, we’ll reconnect with the teachings and stories that first set our hearts alight. And in between, we’ll sit together in honest conversations about burnout, isolation, purpose—and what it really means to live yoga in the modern world.
From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you’ll leave feeling seen, held, and renewed. Not just with tools for your practice or classes, but with strength for your life.
With clarity.
With joy.
With your jyoti ज्योति glowing bright once more.
