We Are here to Help You Reflect, Reconnect & Return to Your Light

Jyoti ज्योति means divine light—that radiant, quiet energy that lives inside each of us. Just like a single diya (oil lamp) can light countless others without ever losing its own flame, this retreat is an invitation for yoga teachers to return to their source, refill their cup, and remember the light they carry.

As teachers, we give so much. We hold space, we listen, we guide. We pour love and attention into our students, our communities, and the sacred path of yoga. But somewhere along the way, we often forget to give back to ourselves. To pause. To breathe. To be held.

This re-treat was born from that knowing. It is a space for yoga teachers to come home to themselves.

As we step into a new year, we invite you to join us for ten days of soulful renewal in the heart of Rishikesh—the birthplace of yoga, where the Ganges flows, and where your own jyoti, your divine light, can be softly remembered.

Why This Retreat Exists

We know that after the high of a teacher training, the path ahead can feel unexpectedly lonely. The glow that once lit up your practice may begin to dim beneath the demands of daily life. At Jyoti, we understand that ache. That quiet longing for deeper connection and honest space.

This is why we’ve created a retreat that doesn’t just teach—but listens. That doesn’t ask you to lead—but invites you to simply be.

Through advanced practices, open teacher circles, and real, raw conversations, we’ll hold space for the full spectrum of your teaching journey—the doubts, the dreams, the in-between moments no one talks about.

This isn’t about learning how to teach better. It’s about remembering why you teach in the first place.

Miriam Seo

Retreat Organizer & Lead Facilitator

Like many, my yoga journey started as an on-and-off practice—until one day, it turned ON for good. I still remember my first class, sitting there thinking, “What is this?”
And now, six years into teaching, I still find myself asking the same question. Yoga is a continuous exploration, a path that keeps unfolding.

Through guiding teacher circles, I’ve come to understand the challenges of visibility and self-trust that many yoga teachers face. This space is more than just a place to refine your practice—it’s a community, a support system, and a space for growth. Together, we cultivate courage, share wisdom, and lift each other up, strengthening our voices as teachers in the world.

Sajan Negi

Retreat Co-Creator & Senior Teacher

I have spent many years guiding yoga teacher trainings and retreats, sharing my passion for philosophy, pranayama, and meditation. As the founder of Rishikesh Yog Nirvana, I have had the privilege of mentoring countless yoga teachers, helping them deepen their understanding and step into their roles with confidence. Storytelling is at the heart of my teaching, bringing ancient wisdom to life in a way that resonates beyond the classroom.

My hope is to inspire others to use their knowledge and voice with authenticity, both in their teaching and in everyday life. Through connection, self-inquiry, and dedication, we continue to grow—not just as teachers, but as lifelong students of yoga.

The first retreat designed exclusively for Yoga Teachers

There are many yoga retreats in the world. But so few are made just for teachers. This is one of them. A place where you are not expected to give, but are invited to receive. To rest. To reflect. To be nourished.

On the mat, we’ll dive deep into practices that challenge and inspire. Off the mat, we’ll reconnect with the teachings that first set our hearts alight. In between, we’ll sit together in honest conversations about burnout, isolation, purpose—and what it really means to walk this path.

From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you’ll leave feeling seen, held and renewed. Not just with tools for your classes, but with strength for your life.
With clarity.
With joy.
